David Joyce is a Grammy Winning (1986 Best Jazz Vocal Group) touring singer/keyboardist and studio musician based in Los Angeles. He is a music professor at one of America’s most prestigious schools of music. He is also a student of life, a philosopher, and a life-coach.
He’s toured all over the world, performing with the world-famed likes of Burt Bacharach, Natalie Cole, and many more. He has sung in the studio and/or on stage with U2, Michael Jackson, Oasis, David Byrne (Talking Heads), Chris Isaac, Neil Young, Harry Belafonte, Frank Sinatra, Barry Manilow, Ray Charles, and more.
David has provided vocals on numerous major feature film soundtracks including:
The Matrix 2 and 3, The Sixth Sense, Star Wars: Rogue One, Star Trek: Beyond, Jurassic World, X-Men 2, Spiderman 3, LA Story, Big, King Kong, Battle for the Planet of the Apes, Something About Mary, Tomorrowland, Oz-the Great and Powerful, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Simpson Movie, and TV shows which have included The Simpsons, The Tonight Show, The Family Guy, and many more.)
David is passionate about singing live-on tour OR in the studio, and he’s also very much about empowering the artistic, writing and vocal talents of young people of all ages, as well as professional and “non-professional” singers, alike. He has been the Head of the Vocal Department at the LA College of Music since 2015. In Europe, he has led clinics and workshops on a wide variety of musical topics, for over 15 years.
David serves as an Advisory Board member and Musical Ambassador for EvolvingPlanet7.org, ProjectPeaceOnEarth.org, and is also a Jury Panel member of the PeaceSongAwards.org worldwide talent contest.
He is also a singer/songwriter with several CD titles of his own, including the bands Dharma Buds, Gopher Gods, and more.
